In celebration of Thanksgiving we present a silly poem by William Wadsworth Shortfellow: Please enjoy.
Nervous Turkeys
I went to the book store to buy a book about beef jerky
It is there that I met the nervous turkeys
Help us to escape, they desperately pleaded
Keep our family together,we all are needed
I don't want to die,the smallest one cried
Last year, they invited us for pumpkin pie,
Then they shot my father in the eye
I swept up the baby, bought some potatoes and gravy
And quickly checked out of the store
But I couldn't cook it,cause of the way that it look-it
All sad and trembling with fear
I looked at the turkey and suddenly realized that this bird was totally queer
No gay bird will I ever serve. My family and I do not deserve
So I tore out its gizzards, stuffed it with books about lizzards
And left it to die on the curb
I was in a fog, working on my book blog
But to my surprise the turkey did rise
Looked into my eyes ,as he flew to the sky
And asked me to tell the book blog family "Good Bye"
